About Us

Rancho Bernardo Anglers Club, a non-profit organization of fishing enthusiasts meeting regularly to explore fishing opportunities, plan trips and exchange latest advancements in fishing technology. We plan 6 to 8 ocean charter trips including 3/4 day and multi-day trips, local, and off-shore. Fresh water trips are less structured but take advantage of our local knowledge of the surrounding lakes, planting schedules, their derbies and, not least of all, our experience.

Membership open to all fishing enthusiasts 18 years and older. New fisher people or new to the area benefit from association with our experienced members and well planned club events. The experienced fishermen will appreciate our limited boat loads, double wide bunks for overnight and longer trips, equitable boat fishing rules and hassle free parking close to the landing.

One or more out of the state trips are planned each year, a favored trip is to Cabo San Lucas area...its all inclusive, air, ground transfer, hotel, tips, food, fishing, either cruisers or pangas and drinks at the hotel. Not included are tips for the fishing crews and fish filleting. Needless to say it fills up fast. The trip to Alaska the same way differently organized but exceptional, that's a salmon, halibut, ling cod, wildlife and scenery extravaganza

Our regular monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 10:30 AM in the Castille Room at the RB Swim and Tennis Club, located at 16955 Bernardo Oaks Dr.(North East corner of Bernardo Oaks Dr. and Rancho Bernardo Rd). Visitors are welcome and encouraged to share their fishing experiences. The meetings provide an avenue for organizing impromptu trips to take advantage of current fishing conditions.

Other regular events are: Trout Derby and picnic at Lake Poway in March and our year end luncheon in December where our Angler of the Year award is presented.
